Rules and regulations
- The competition started on February 26, 2011 and will end on April 9, 2011 at 23:59:59 server time (CEST).
- We'll then wait a week, pick a candidate winner randomly (entries will be weighted by their points
to a power to be determined, probably around 1.2), and check if their entry is still entirely valid.
If the candidate winning entry isn't entirely valid, its points will be recalculated and
we'll again pick a candidate winner randomly, and repeat the process until a valid winner is found.
Due to the (obvious) unavailability of the prize before its release date, the prize will be sent to the winner around May 20, 2011. - In the event of a dispute, the judge's decision is final.
- The contest is opened worldwide, except in countries blocked by GOG or Paypal, if any.
- The only prize is one Digital Premium Edition of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings obtained through GOG. In the event that this prize becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to offer a prize of similar value ($44.99).
- If we reach more than 20 participants, we may add a second prize (one or a couple of GOG games).
- Only one entry is allowed per physical person. Creating multiple accounts will result in disqualification (the judge's decision is final). If you know you're going to generate an activity that might look like multi-accounting (e.g. siblings on the same connection, participating on a university network, etc.), please indicate it in your entry.
FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
What are points good for?
More points give you more chances to win the drawing. 1 point = 1 chance. Additionally, because we know the hardest points aren't the few first, but the last ones, we'll raise the points to a power of X (X is still to be determined but will be around 1.2). To make it simple it will mean:- 1 point = 1X = 1 chance to win
- 5 points = 5X = around 5-7 chances* to win
- 10 points = 10X = around 13-17 chances* to win
- 15 points = 15X = around 19-30 chances* to win
